KENN CUNNINGHAM’S BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised in Northern California – Kenn attended San Francisco State University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communication Arts (formerly known as the Radio-Television-Film Department). He pursued a career in radio, which ultimately led to him owning and operating his own radio station that covered Mendocino and Lake counties in Northern California. During that time Kenn was often called upon to emcee dinners for Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Clubs, etc. This involvement in front of the audience evolved into doing many auctions for various non-profits in the markets where he managed radio stations. Kenn attended auction school at the famed World Wide College of Auctioneering in 2001 and set about to begin his career as a benefit auctioneer. Since then he has continued to advance his study of benefit auctions and in 2005 was awarded the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist designation from the National Auctioneers Association. Kenn says: “I love doing benefit auctions and believe my success as an auctioneer is largely because my auctions are ‘fun’ fundraisers! When people are happy and smiling they bid more money!”

ELAINE CUNNINGHAM BIOGRAPHY

Elaine is an integral part of Gavel4Good, she takes on the responsibility of training the volunteers whether they are working the check-in tables, assisting with bid spotting during the auction or serving as runners or recorders. She also serves as the Chief Auction Assistant/Bid Spotter at all of G4G events. As a certificated, Kindergarten teacher she is very skilled at dealing with things on ‘the fly’ and making sure that all volunteers are focused on the success of the event. She views any missed bid as “money walking out of the room.” She makes sure it all stays inside.
